Overview

The Grade Calculator provides a live snapshot of your weighted and points-based assignments so you always understand how homework, quizzes, exams, and projects combine into the final result.

Modes Available

• Percentage mode – enter each grade from 0–100 with its weight. The calculator normalizes weights and alerts you when the sum is not 100%.
• Points mode – enter points earned and points possible. If you skip weights, the tool automatically builds a weighted average from the raw points.

Planning Within Categories

Group assignments under Homework, Labs, Quizzes, Exams, or any custom category. Each category gets its own weight and its own warning if internal totals do not equal 100%.

Target Grade Projection

Enter a desired course grade together with the final exam weight to learn what score you need on the remaining assessment. If the required score is above 100%, the interface clearly shows that the target is unreachable.

What if my weights do not total 100%?

You will see an orange banner showing the current sum. Adjust the remaining weights or leave them blank to rely on equal weighting.

Does the tool save my data?

No. Everything runs locally in the browser so you can refresh or copy the summary text whenever needed.
